Ferrum Controller

A Ferrum passes your controller through to the console, and Moonlight drives the right stick and right trigger through it.

Ferrum Controller uses a Ferrum to pass an Xbox or PlayStation controller through to the console. Moonlight only takes over what it needs: the right stick while aim or recoil control is active, and the right trigger while Moonlight fires. Everything else comes straight from your controller, and you get the controller back within a moment when Moonlight stops.

It works with an Xbox and with games on a PC. For a PS5, ask in the Moonlight Discord first.

#What you need

  • Ferrum firmware with controller support.

#Wire it

  1. Plug your controller into the Ferrum.
  2. Connect the Ferrum to the console.
  3. Connect the Ferrum to the Moonlight PC, the same way as for a Ferrum mouse setup, so it shows up as a COM port.

#In Moonlight

  1. In Input Device, set Output to Ferrum Controller.
  2. Pick the Ferrum's COM Port.
  3. In the Controller Setup card, set Controller layout to the controller you plugged in (Xbox 360 by default). It sets the button names for the Aim, Flick, Trigger and ADS binds; it does not change the firmware or the console output.

Then set up the game and Moonlight's controller settings: Tune aim for a controller.
